The Charente river actually flows from an area known as Charente Limousine which makes it an ideal sprawl between the Limousin and Charente attractions and travel centres; the two most popular being Limoges and Poitiers airport.

It is an easy choice for weddings and celebrations thanks to its proximity from major travel routes and until recently, its little known sites. Its popularity will undoubtedly continue to grow as more and more airport routes start flying to its destinations and the TGV train network is a direct hit with those who want to take in Paris before slowing down a gear further south.

Its charming houses, forest walks, chestnut, hornbeam and beech trees seem to sigh happily in the breeze as the smaller animals play hide and seek with the bigger cattle, horses and roe deer abundant in this beautiful area of France.
